With the recent launch of the National Food Strategy led by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Action on Salt and Sugar is pleased to welcome the new plan and is hopeful for decisive government action.  

Junk Food Ad Ban Legislation
5 December 2024

The government have finalised a new law that will prevent children being exposed to TV adverts for unhealthy food products before the 9pm watershed. The law will come into place from October 2025 and will also include a ban on paid online unhealthy food adverts.
